Ghanaian rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong, popularly known as Medikal, has shared how a teacher once told him that pursuing music would make him a loser.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty on July 24, 2025, Medikal disclosed that the teacher asked him to stop the music but he’s glad he didn’t listen to him.

“A teacher once told me that pursuing music would make me a loser, so I should stop doing music. Just imagine if I had listened to him” he said.

When asked if he doesn’t listen to advice, he replied he does take advice but not just any advice.

He added that he wouldn’t have succeeded in his music career if he had listened to his teacher’s advice.

“If you have belief and trust in something that will make you happy, you just have to be consistent at that side and it will work out for you.

“If I had listened to that advice, I won’t be sitting here today. I wouldn’t be able to voice out and put music out there so that’s the worst advice and I’m grateful to God that I didn’t listen to him” Medikal stated.
