Mona Faiz Montrage, popularly known as Hajia4reall or Mona4reall, has returned to the music scene after serving a one-year, one-day sentence in the US for her role in a romance fraud case.

The musician who was released from prison on May 22, 2025, and came back to Ghana under a voluntary self-deportation agreement, Mona4reall did not waste any time reclaiming the spotlight.

Her new song, “Move”, released on June 1, 2025, is believed to be a personal message, a reflection of her journey, and a declaration that she’s back and unbroken.

The music video of the song begins with a newspaper front page which flashes across the screen with headlines like “Mona is Back,” “Free Mona,” and “I Am Still Untouchable.”

These phrases set the tone for a woman addressing public opinion head-on. In the next scene, Mona4real was seen in a black-and-white striped dress where she poses for a mugshot, then appears behind bars, a recreation of her recent reality.

These visuals are believed to be a deliberate choice to reflect her arrest, her time in prison, and the world’s eyes on her.

The lyrics of “Move” are tied to Mona4reall’s experiences over the past year.

Here is a breakdown of the lyrics of the song: “My life is a testimony, Oh can’t you see, I’m not like everybody.”

In these lyrics, Mona4reall was captured telling listeners that her life has been through extreme challenges, but those very challenges make her story different. She is using her pain as a testimony.

“I’ve been knocked down but I still no give up on me, if no be God, like I end up like so many.”

This is a direct reference to her downfall, being arrested and imprisoned. She emphasised that she didn’t give up on herself.

She has credited God for her strength and hints that others in similar situations haven’t made it through, but she has.

“I dey run my race, if I fall, I go rise, And I still go dey on top.” This chorus is the heart of the song where she talks about resilience, falling but rising again, and continuing to be in the spotlight despite her setbacks.

Mona4reall wants the world to know that even though she was knocked down, she is not staying down.

“We move, we move, we move, Onto the next, we groove, we groove, like we really don’t care,” the lyrics read.

This hook in the song pushes a mindset of moving forward and not being stuck in the past.

The phrase “We move” is mostly used to mean moving on despite difficulties, and in this case, Mona4reall uses it to show she’s not letting her past define her future.

“Now the wait is over, and I can’t keep my composure, allow me to shove my shoulder.”

This part indicates that she is back, and she is unapologetic. Mona4reall using “Shove my shoulder” is a way of saying she’s brushing off the negativity, criticism, and shame.

The song, “Move” is an emotional response to everything Mona4reall has been through.

From the prison-themed visuals of the song to the lyrics, this song points to a woman who has seen the lowest points but refuses to be defined by them.
