Former Eleven Wonders head coach, Nii Odartey Lamptey, has said he was not responsible for the club’s struggles in the Ghana Premier League, insisting that the problems confronting the team run far deeper than coaching.

The Premier League returnees has been poor in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, and after 11 matches, they sit bottom of the league log with just three points.

Their poor start to the season forced the club to part ways with Odartey Lamptey.

Following the exit of the former Ghana international, the club hired the services of experienced gaffer J.E. Sarpong.

However, after less than a month in charge, coach JE Sarpong has resigned from his position.

Speaking to Asempa FM, Odartey Lamptey said, “I heard that I was the one who was not performing, and so the club decided to part ways with me, but the issues of Eleven Wonders were never down to coaching.

“Three weeks after taking over the club, I knew what these players could do, but a lot of things were going wrong within the club,” he added.

Eleven Wonders will hope to secure their first win of the season when they host Dreams FC on the Matchday 12.
