Bright Nana Yaw Amen Lawson, widely known in the entertainment industry as Capture Dem, has made waves in Ghana’s music scene. Recently honored as the Reggae Dancehall Artist of the Year at the Wassce Awards (AWA), Capture Dem’s unique style and dedication to his craft have brought him well-deserved recognition and a rapidly growing fanbase.

A Rising Force in Dancehall and Afrobeats

Capture Dem is not just a Reggae dancehall artist; he is also a talented Afrobeats artist and a producer. With a passion for creating memorable beats and infectious rhythms, Capture Dem has built a name for himself as a versatile musician under his personal brand, True Sons Legacy (TSL). His music blends traditional Dancehall with vibrant Afrobeats, showcasing his versatility and range.

    Notable Achievements

Capture Dem’s recent accomplishments highlight his dedication to his music. He independently wrote, recorded, and released a full-length EP that has been met with enthusiasm on platforms like Audiomack, where it continues to gain traction and positive reviews. The EP marks a significant step in his career, showcasing his range and skill as a solo artist.

He also gained further recognition with his performance on Metro TV’s Talent for Talent Show, a well-known Ghanaian music show that provides exposure to talented musicians nationwide. His performance captivated audiences and further solidified his place in Ghana’s music industry.

    Musical Inspirations

Capture Dem’s love for music began in childhood, where he found joy in any sound that resonated with him. However, he draws particular inspiration from legendary figures like Adu Kwasi and Amakye Dede, as well as prominent Jamaican artists like Ninja Man, Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel, and Buju Banton. These influences have helped shape his distinctive sound, blending traditional Ghanaian rhythms with the robust energy of Dancehall.

With his recent AWA award and a rising reputation in Dancehall and Afrobeats, Capture Dem is poised to bring more innovative music to his fans, making him a name to watch in the African music scene.
