Ghanaian film producer and entertainment pundit, Ola Michael, has disclosed that another court case has been filed in connection with the ongoing disputes surrounding the funeral of the late highlife legend.

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on November 23, 2025, Ola Michael stated that Ernestina, together with nine members of her family, filed a fresh lawsuit last Friday, placing an injunction on the funeral account.

According to him, the very account that was earlier expected to be closed and replaced with a new one has now become the centre of the latest legal action.

“Last Friday, when they went to court, Ernestina went to file a new case where she put an injunction on the account. She filed the case but she didn’t do it alone. She went with 9 of her family members,” he said.

He explained that the case, which is scheduled to be heard on December 4, cites the Abusuapanin and CalBank as defendants, since they are the official custodians of the account.

“The same account that they said they want to close it and open a new account so they could transfer the money into the new account. The case was supposed to be called on December 4.

“They sued the Abusuapanin and Cal Bank and it’s a normal thing because they’re the holders of the account. As it was said that they should hold on with the withdrawal of the money for things to be clear so maybe that’s why the family is doing that,” he narrated.

He further noted that although the injunction notice had been served, the family managed to make a significant withdrawal from the account on the same day.

“This rate was given to Abusuapanin yesterday but we’ve not been to the court. The same yesterday, we quickly withdrew the GH₵200,000 from the account. There are videos of him receiving the rate in the presence of his lawyers,” Ola added.
