Ghanaian hip-hop star Samuel Adu Frimpong, famously known as Medikal, has paid a special visit to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, to seek prayers and blessings ahead of his much-anticipated BYK concert.
The award-winning rapper was accompanied by members of his team as they visited the Chief Imam’s Fadama residence.
The visit, marked by humility and reverence, was also graced by Medikal’s adorable daughter, Island Frimpong.
Island, the only child of Medikal and actress Fella Makafui, sat comfortably beside her father during their interaction with the esteemed Islamic leader. Her presence added a heartwarming touch to the solemn moment.
When it was time for prayers, Medikal removed his hat and slightly bent one knee as the Chief Imam placed his hands over his head to bless him. Throughout the prayer session, little Island—seemingly unbothered by the ceremony—continued sipping her juice on her father’s lap, drawing smiles from those present.
The visit is seen as part of Medikal’s preparation for a successful concert as he seeks spiritual support and unity ahead of the big event.
The BYK concert is expected to draw massive attention, with fans commending the artist for acknowledging the significance of blessings and guidance from national religious figures.
