Accra Hearts of Oak supporters have accused referee Reginald Collins Amoah of cheating them in the Ghana Premier League Super Clash against rivals Asante Kotoko.

The Phobians on Sunday, November 9, were handed their first defeat in the ongoing 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League by the Porcupine Warriors at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Asante Kotoko won the game 1-0 after striker Morifing Donzo converted a first half penalty. The Porcupine Warriors were awarded the penalty after a clumsy challenge from Amankwah Baafi on Peter Amidu Acquah in the box.

Accra Hearts of Oak who were slightly the better side in the second half thought they had gotten the equalizer in the 90th minute through Mawuli Wayo but their celebrations were cut short by the referee.

Mawuli Wayo’s goal was ruled out as offside by referee Reginald Collins Amoah, a decision that was hugely criticized by Hearts of Oak supporters at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The decision to rule out Mawuli Wayo’s goal didn’t go down well with the Phobians who accused the referee of cheating them and depriving them of valuable one point.
