Veteran Ghanaian gospel singer Agnes Opoku Agyemang has advised men to marry only one woman if they desire peace of mind.

In an interview with ZionFelix, the “Aseda” hitmaker was asked whether men should marry one woman or more.

She responded that in today’s world, peace of mind comes from committing to one partner.

She explained that her advice might have been different in the past when polygamy was more common, particularly due to traditional lifestyles and economic needs.

According to her, in earlier times, men often married multiple women to assist with farming and household duties, but she questioned the relevance of that practice in the modern era.

Agnes Opoku Agyemang further cautioned that marrying multiple wives could bring unnecessary stress and even shorten a man’s life if care is not taken.

She emphasized that modern marriage should be built on love, mutual respect, and understanding, adding that having one woman promotes greater harmony and stability.
