The Member of Parliament for the Salaga South Constituency, Hajia Zuwera Ibrahimah, has extended financial assistance to a constituent, Baba Jamal Tahiru, to enable him to undergo surgery at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

A delegation led by Alhaji Adam Kawurbi, a member of the NDC Constituency Council of Elders, together with the Salaga South NDC Constituency Chairman, Haruna Abdul Aziz, presented a cheque of GH¢13,650.00 to the patient’s family in Salaga.

Baba Jamal Tahiru, a 47-year-old man and a native of Daryl-Salam, a suburb of Salaga, currently resides in Accra.

He has been diagnosed with high neuroendocrine carcinoma of the sinonasal cavity and is scheduled to undergo surgery at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

Presenting the cheque, Alhaji Adam Kawurbi explained that the MP’s attention was drawn to Baba Jamal’s condition by Rashad Mahama.

He noted that, as a compassionate and responsive leader, Hajia Zuwera immediately pledged her support to ensure that the patient received the necessary medical care.

According to him, the amount donated represents the full cost of the surgery as indicated in the hospital bill submitted to the MP.

He also conveyed the MP’s goodwill message to the family, wishing the patient a successful operation and a speedy recovery.
