Ghanaian rapper, Kwame Nsiah-Apau, well-known as Okyeame Kwame, turned a poet on his wife’s birthday.

On Annica Nsiah-Apau’s special day, the Rap Doctor poured his emotions into verses celebrating two decades of love, partnership, and growth.

Posting on social media, Okyeame Kwame began his message with the tender line: “Happy Birthday My Love. Twenty years of love, laughter, and adventures shared, my partner, my friend, my heart’s constant care.”

He described Annica as “a gemstone polished to perfection bright, a beauty that dazzles, a radiant, shining light,” praising her grace, elegance, and intellect. The rapper also lauded her as a devoted mother and a source of strength for their family, calling her “a guiding star” and “the safe haven where I can hide.”

“Your mind is a puzzle, complex and so grand… Determined and focused, with a will of steel, you chase your dreams, and your passions reveal,” he wrote.

Okyeame Kwame also infused the poem with humour and cultural flair, referencing Ghanaian music icons to stress his affection. “Kojo Antwi spoke of you in ‘My Shining Star’… Even Daddy Lumba couldn’t describe you with words,” he wrote, drawing laughter and admiration from fans.

The heartfelt tribute ended with a line that perfectly summed up his enduring love: “I love you more than poetry can express… Forever and always, my soulmate, my one true fire.”
