Rapper Yaw Tog, the young artiste who took over the airwaves with his 2020 hit, ‘Sore,’ has mentioned that the people who were once in his corner during his rise to fame have all left him.

In a recent interview with Headless YouTuber, the rapper looked on the early days of his career and admitted that his rise to fame came with several mistakes he now regrets.

According to him, one of his biggest regrets was allowing too many people into his inner circle when he first gained attention with his 2020 hit song.

It’s not easy to be an independent artiste – Yaw Tog

“My worst experience is allowing too many people to also be in the spotlight with me when ‘Sore’ was on, but now those people them no dey around anymore,” Yaw Tog said.

The young rapper, who shot to fame after releasing his breakout single “Sore” featuring O’Kenneth, City Boy, Reggie, and Jay Bahd, clarified that his comments are not directed at the artistes featured on the track.

Instead, he said his statements are directed at the many people who surrounded him at the time, most of whom he now believes were drawn to his success and fame.

Yaw Tog added that, despite feeling disappointed, he has accepted the situation as part of how the entertainment industry works.

“Not the guys who were on ‘Sore’ with me specifically but everybody that came around me at the time, it’s something that I would say I’ve regretted. I do not even get a call from them anymore,” he explained.
