Ghanaian rapper Kwaw Kese has referred to Shatta Wale as his “son,” accusing him of being consistently disrespectful to others in the music industry.
Speaking on Hitz FM with Kwame Dadzie and Doreen Avio, Kwaw Kese recounted several instances that he said showed Shatta Wale’s lack of respect.
“My son doesn’t respect. My son doesn’t respect. One time, my son was on social media saying, Bulldog, you killed Kwaw’s manager. I will expose you. Then my son came into my DM, and he said, Kwaw, we need to talk. And I gave him my number. My son never called. I tried reaching out. He never responded again,” he said.
He continued, “You know, my son doesn’t respect. He has disrespected everybody in the industry, even Kwame Despite. My son insulted him. So if you are disrespectful, just remember that somebody knows the same game you are playing. And some people disrespect you. You see, so it’s like that. There’s nothing like hating somebody. You see, my son insulted Sarkodie to the bone. And the next thing, he was begging to be on his show. If you love somebody, you don’t take the phone and insult them from head to toe. No.”
When Kwame Dadzie interjected that the incidents were in the past, Kwaw Kese disagreed.
“No. If you forget your past, you can’t see your future. Your past plays a part in your growth. You see, so if you have done A, B, C to people, just come out and say. This thing I did, I did it when I was in my days.”
When Dadzie further suggested that perhaps the two artistes had resolved their issues privately, Kwaw Kese replied:
“I don’t care about who solved the issue. What I care about is that you came out to insult people in the light. If you have changed, let the people come out and let people know that you have changed in the light,” added.
