Kwaw Kese is a Ghanaian rapper Kwaw Kese is a Ghanaian rapper

Hiplife artiste Kwaw Kese has explained why he is rarely seen performing at other artistes’ shows or making appearances at entertainment events.

In an interview on Hitz FM, the rapper said his absence from such gatherings is deliberate, noting that the Ghanaian entertainment industry is filled with people who pretend to show love but act differently behind closed doors.

Give the NDC government a chance – Kwaw Kese to Ghanaians

Kwaw Kese shared that he once organized his concert and invited several artistes he had supported on numerous occasions to come and show up for him.

According to him none of them attended. To his surprise, the same night, those artistes showed up at another event hosted by a younger musician.

He said that incident reinforced his belief that the industry is filled with hypocrisy and fake relationships.

According to him, many artistes and industry players act friendly in public but harbour negative feelings in private.

Why Kwaw Kese doesn’t promote the works of his colleagues

He mentioned that he prefers to stay away from such circles because he is not someone who hides behind fake smiles or pretends to be at peace with people he has issues with.

“People that I have shown love to multiple times on their stages did not show up. But that same night, there was another show somewhere, a Gen Z was having a show, and they showed up for the Gen Z.

“I am not a pretender. I’m not the type who will come and smile with you while something else is going on in my head. So, when pretenders meet, I don’t go there. The industry is full of fake people. They’ll see you today, smile with you, but behind you, there’s a lot going on,” Kwaw Kese said.
