The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has officially appointed Ghana’s Laryea Kingston as the new head coach of all men’s youth national teams in the country.

The appointment was confirmed by FUFA CEO Edgar Watson, who announced that Kingston will serve a two-year term overseeing Uganda’s youth teams.

A holder of both UEFA A and CAF B coaching licenses, Laryea Kingston brings strong technical expertise and international experience to Uganda’s football development structure.

FUFA described his appointment as a strategic step toward nurturing young talents and strengthening the long-term future of Ugandan football.

Kingston’s new role follows his resignation as head coach of Ghana’s U17 team, the Black Starlets in May 2024.

Brian Ssenyondo will continue to lead Uganda’s U17 team to the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar in November 2025, before fully handing over to Kingston.

Kingston’s appointment marks a new phase in his coaching journey, one that will see him guide Uganda’s next generation of talents.
