Over the past week, Sarkodie’s Rapperholic “Homecoming” concert at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi has sparked massive conversation on social media.

Amid the buzz, reggae-dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has found his name drawn into the discussion, following an X post he retweeted from a fan, a move many have interpreted as a subtle jab at Sarkodie.

In response to the brewing controversy, media personality and entertainment analyst Arnold Baidoo has shared his thoughts on the matter.

Tilly Akua Nipa, Vida Adumtuwaa clash over Stonebwoy’s ‘historic’ Rapperholic post

According to Arnold, he understands that artistes often seek attention to remain relevant, something he sees no issue with.

He cited Shatta Wale as an example of someone who frequently engages fans to maintain visibility.

However, in this particular case, he believes Stonebwoy’s retweet wasn’t merely for attention, but rather a veiled attempt to draw comparisons between himself and Sarkodie.

Arnold emphasized that, while Stonebwoy may deny any intent to spark comparison, his fanbase clearly framed it that way, and by retweeting the post, he effectively endorsed the narrative.

“Once you endorse what your fanbase does, you’re validating it, whether good or bad,” he stated.

Arnold strongly believes that Stonebwoy’s action was a subtle attempt to compare his 2023 Bhim Concert to Sarkodie’s Rapperholic Homecoming.
