Popular Ghanaian media personality, Dr. Pounds of Hitz FM fame, has issued a strong warning to musicians and industry players over an impersonator using his name to extort money.
In a video shared on his social media platforms, Dr. Pounds emphatically stated that someone has been parading as him, claiming to have the power to secure them nominations at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) and to promote their music, for a fee.

He stressed that he has no dealings of that sort and would never engage in such fraudulent activities.
Dr. Pounds urged musicians and stakeholders not to fall victim to such schemes because all the people who know him and have had any dealings with him know that he will never do such a thing.
He also cautioned those behind the impersonation to put a stop to it immediately, warning that their actions are damaging not only to him but to the industry as a whole.
He further advised the public to verify information directly from his official pages and not to deal with anyone pretending to act on his behalf.
