Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced that diplomatic passports will be handed to five personalities within the creative arts industry.

The new personalities to be handed the diplomatic passports are travel content creator Wode Maya, Grammy-nominated reggae musician Rocky Dawuni, media entrepreneur Anita Erskine, artist Ibrahim Mahama, and entrepreneur Dentaa Amoateng.

According to the minister, the gesture is part of efforts to use cultural influence and people-to-people engagement as a strategic tool in diplomacy.

He noted that by recognizing these individuals who already carry Ghana’s name into international spaces, the government hopes to strengthen cultural ties, promote trade, and open doors for global connections.
