Following the death of Ghanaian cleric and inventor, Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, several celebrities have taken to social media to express their condolences to his family.

On September 14, 2025, the family of the late Safo Kantanka and the Kristo Asafo Mission, through a statement signed by his daughter, former MP for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, confirmed that he passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

After the news broke, a number of entertainment personalities shared their tributes and memories of the legend across various platforms.

Here are some notable entertainment personalities who have reacted to the news so far:

    Sarkodie

Rapper Sarkodie, in an X post on September 14, 2025, described the late Dr Safo Kantanka as a “true superstar of Africa.”

According to him, Kantanka’s immense contributions to Ghana cannot be overlooked.

“Rest well, Papa. A true star of Africa has fallen! Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka,” he wrote.

    Kojo Cue

Rapper Kojo Cue also paid tribute to the late inventor and spiritual leader.

In a post shared on X, he thanked Apostle Safo for his service to the nation and acknowledged his long-standing support for both the needy and the theatre arts.

“RIP Apostle Kwadwo Safo. Thank you for your service. One of the biggest patrons of the theatre arts and a helper of the needy,” Kojo Cue wrote.

    Ohemaa Woyeje

Media personality Ohemaa Woyeje, visibly emotional upon hearing the news, expressed her condolences in a video shared by Zionfelix.

In the video, she was seen informing some patrons at her restaurant, highlighting the recent loss of several notable personalities in Ghana.

“Are you people aware Kantanka has passed on? This should tell you how bad the system has become. I am so sorry about it. I thought you people knew this. Just weeks after Dada KD passed on, Lumba is also dead. After Lumba’s death, there was a helicopter crash, and now Safo Kantanka. So I am pleading with everyone to be careful,” she said.

While addressing her audience, Ohemaa Woyeje also urged Ghanaians to show support at the final burial ceremony of the late Highlife musician Dada KD.

“While you people are eating, I’ll plead with you to show support this coming Saturday as we lay our brother Dada KD to rest. I would be glad if we show him the same love we gave Daddy Lumba during his one-week observance,” she added.
