Popular Nigerian actor and media personality Segun Arinze has issued a stern warning to Nigerians living in Ghana, urging them to refrain from illegal activities and to show respect for the cultural norms and laws of their host country.

Speaking during an appearance on Hitz FM on September 11, 2025, Arinze stated, “I won’t support that. I don’t believe that you can just come into someone’s country and try to be stupid. You respect the traditions, culture and everything they stand for.

“They are your hosts and so you must comport yourself in the best way possible,” he said.

His remarks follow a series of incidents involving Nigerian nationals in Ghana. Earlier in September, three Nigerians were sentenced for kidnapping-related offenses.

In another development, some Nigerian traders at Abossey Okai in Accra had their shops sealed by the Ghana Union of Traders Association for violating certain trade regulations.
