A young Ghanaian man has been left in tears after staking a whopping GH₵12,000 on Chelsea to beat Crystal Palace in their Premier League clash. Unfortunately, the game ended in a 0–0 draw, leaving his huge bet in ruins.

According to reports, the money he staked was meant for his auntie, but in confidence and high hopes, he diverted it to a SportyBet slip, banking on Chelsea to secure a win. The shocking outcome has thrown the young man into distress, as his entire GH₵12,000 investment vanished in just 90 minutes.

Close friends, who described him as a “fearless investor,” have raised the alarm, calling on well-meaning Ghanaians and the brotherhood to send urgent MoMo contributions to bail him out, fearing that “something bad might happen tonight” if he is not supported.

This heartbreaking incident has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some sympathizing with him while others criticize his decision to gamble with family money. It also serves as a reminder of the high risks involved in sports betting, especially when betting with money one cannot afford to lose.
