Celebrated Ghanaian TV show host and master of ceremonies, Kafui Dey, has officially announced his departure from the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation’s flagship morning programme, GTV Breakfast Show.

In a heartfelt personal statement shared across his social media platforms on July 24, 2025, Kafui Dey described his exit as the end of a chapter and expressed deep gratitude to the GBC family and viewers who supported him during his four-year journey on the show.

“After 4 incredible years, IT IS TIME,” he stated in the emotional message, noting that his journey began on August 2nd, 2021. He thanked the Director-General of GBC, his co-presenters, producers, directors, crew, the social media team, and every guest who graced the show’s set over the years.

“To all who supported me, thank you. For the highs, the lows, and the memories, I’m truly thankful. If I ever offended anyone, please forgive me,” he added.

Kafui also reassured fans that his departure is not a goodbye, but simply a transition into a new phase. “I believe our paths will cross again—and when they do, we will create even more beautiful memories.”

Kafui Dey is widely respected in Ghana’s media landscape for his versatility, eloquence, and professionalism. His contribution to the GTV Breakfast Show has been lauded for its consistency, engaging content, and positive impact on morning television.
