Ghanaian forward Abdul Aziz Issah has rejoined Barcelona Atletic on a fresh loan deal that will keep him at the club until June 2026.
The 19-year-old initially spent the 2024/25 season on loan at the Spanish side from Dreams FC but managed just two appearances despite a promising start.
Barcelona initially declined to activate the purchase option in his contract, paving the way for his return to Ghana.
However, fresh talks have resulted in a new agreement that sees the teenager return to Catalonia.
Issah shot to prominence after a standout campaign with Dreams FC in the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup, where he netted four goals and provided two assists in ten matches. His long-range strike against Lobito was nominated for CAF Goal of the Year.
Despite limited minutes in Spain, Issah’s form with Ghana’s U20s and a senior debut at the Unity Cup in May 2025 kept him in the spotlight. He scored Ghana’s opener in their U20 AFCON quarterfinal against Egypt and earned a Man of the Match award earlier in the tournament.
Barcelona Atletic will be hoping the second spell provides better opportunities for the promising Ghanaian forward.
