Ghanaian hiplife artist and rapper, Elias Ewusi Essel, popularly known as Donzy, has opened up about the challenges of working with fellow musicians in Ghana.

Speaking in a recent interview with Hitz FM, Donzy shared insights into his strong relationship with Highlife artist Kofi Kinaata.

“Collaborating with Ghanaian musicians is very difficult, but Kofi Kinaata makes it easy,” he stated.

The “Club” hitmaker explained that many popular Ghanaian musicians often make collaborations stressful, which discourages other artists from reaching out.

However, he praised Kofi Kinaata for being approachable and easy to work with, highlighting the strong bond they’ve built over time.

“The way I speak to Kofi Kinaata to promote our songs on his socials is not the same with other artists,” he added.

Donzy emphasised that he feels comfortable personally calling Kofi Kinaata to promote their work, something he says he cannot do with most other artists.

He concluded by naming a few other Ghanaian musicians he shares a genuine bond with and enjoys working with, including Sarkodie, Fameye, and Keche, among others.
