President Donald Trump has called for a regime change in Iran.

‘It’s not politically correct to use the term, “Regime Change,” but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change???’ he asked rhetorically on his Truth Social page.

But the message came after he and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer discussed the need for Iran to return to the negotiating table as soon as possible’, according to Downing Street.

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong has confirmed that the Albanese Government supports the United States’ military strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, marking a significant shift in tone after Canberra initially stopped short of endorsing the attack.

The Albanese government on Sunday offered no endorsement of Trump’s decision to unleash B-2 bombers to ‘obliterate’ three Iranian nuclear enrichment sites, with a spokesperson instead calling for ‘de-escalation, dialogue, and diplomacy’.

But after the Coalition offered its full support for the ‘proactive action’, the government has now given its backing to Trump’s military intervention.

‘The world has agreed Iran cannot be allowed to get a nuclear weapon. So yes, we support action to prevent that. And that is what this is,’ Senator Wong told ABC’s News Breakfast.

‘The big question is, now what? And Australia says, like so many other countries, we do not want escalation and a full-scale war and we continue to call for dialogue and diplomacy.’

President Donald Trump directed Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt to announce he would make a decision about attacking Iran within two weeks to conceal his planned attack, according to CNN.

The president was reportedly frustrated by reports saying he already made up his mind to strike Iranian nuclear sites, and he thought the two-week timeline could throw off the Iranians, sources told the outlet.

Anderson Cooper and CNN International Correspondent Clarissa Ward were forced to evacuate while broadcasting live from Tel Aviv.

Cooper was seen discussing the ongoing conflict with Ward when sirens started to ring, and Cooper informed the audience that they were all getting an alert saying Israeli forces expected a missile to hit their area in 10 minutes.

‘We have about a 10 minute window to get down into a bomb shelter,’ he explained, before he, Ward and a guest quickly unhooked their lavalier microphones and were handed ones they could carry in their hands as they walked down the hallway and into an elevator.

It was the first Monday morning that an alarm went off in the city, as Cooper remarked: ‘It is a luxury to have a 10-minute warning.’

A social media account associated with Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, published a post portraying missile strikes on a darkened city with a giant skull bearing the Star of David on it, according to the Associated Press.

‘The punishment continues,’ the post read.

Several recent attacks and explosions have been reported by several Iranian media outlets.

Nour News said the attacks struck Parchin, just southeast of Tehran, on Sunday night.

Tasmin News reported that air defenses were also deployed in Karaj, just west of the capital.

The IDF said sirens are currently sounding ‘across central Israel due to a missile launch from Iran’.

No further details were given, and it’s unclear whether the missiles were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system.

Oil prices have risen amid the ongoing unrest in Iran, which is a major global supplier of the fossil fuel.

The Middle Eastern country sits on the Strait of Hormuz, a Persian Gulf waterway which provides a key transit channel for around 20 percent of the world’s oil supply.

Oil prices rose by around three percent last week after Israel struck nuclear targets, and benchmark prices opened up a further four percent on Sunday evening.

A United States official has told The New York Times that American military and intelligence officials have detected signs that Iran-backed groups are preparing to attack US bases in Iraq and possibly Syria.

So far, the groups have held off on striking the American targets, and Iraqi officials are working to dissuade them from attacking, the official says.

Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, who is believed to take over Iran if the current regime falls, promised swift action if he were put in charge of the country.

Iraninan officials reportedly sent US President Donald Trump a message in the days before he ordered strikes of the country’s nuclear facilities.

The Iranian officials threatened to activate sleeper cell terrorists inside the United States if it were attacked, according to NBC News.

It reports that Trump got the message from an intermediary at the Group of Seven summit in Canada last week.

The news comes as Vice President JD admitted that the Trump administration is looking at the possibility of a homeland attack ‘very closely.’

He then expressed concern about a lack of ‘full accounting’ of illegal immigrants that came into the country under President Joe Biden without proper vetting.

In his remarks to the emergency meeting of the United Nations, Israeli ambassador Danny Danon argued that the international community gave Iran ‘every chance’ to stop it from building a nuclear weapon.

But, he argued, ‘it’s goal is death and destruction.’

Danon also hit out at those who claim Israel and the United States are escalating the tensions, by saying: ‘This is what the last line of defense looks like.

‘Make no mistake: The cost of inaction would have been catastrophic.

‘A nuclear Iran would hae been a death sentence,’ he declared.

All 32 members of NATO have agreed to increase spending on defense and related areas to 5 percent of their GDP by 2035, Sky News reports.

The members of NATO were seeking to pay just 2 percent of their GDP.

Sources tell Sky News the increase in spending is to keep US President Donald Trump happy and to respond to growing threats from Russia and China.

The new target will officially be adopted when the heads of state and government meet at The Hague on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The US State Department issued a worldwide security alert for Americans abroad.

‘The conflict between Israel and Iran has resulted in disruptions to travel and periodic closure of airspace across the Middle East,’ the alert reads.

‘There is the potential for demonstrations against U.S. citizens and interests abroad. The Department of State advises U.S. citizens worldwide to exercise increased caution.’

An ambulance in central Iran was struck by an Israeli airstrike on Sunday, killing three people, according to local media.

‘The ambulance… was en route to transfer a patient when it was severely damaged by a drone strike,’ ISNA news agency reported quoting Hamidreza Mohammadi Fesharaki, the governor of Najafabad county in the central Isfahan province.

‘All occupants of the ambulance – including the driver, the patient, and the patient’s companion – were martyred.’

The impact of the drone strike also caused the ambulance to veer off course and collide with a passing vehicle,’ Fesharaki added.

Russia’s UN Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia argued at an emergency meeting on Sunday that the United States’ airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities ‘has opened Pandora’s box.’

‘No one knows what new catastrophes and suffering it will bring,’ Nebenzia said.

‘Unless we stop the escalation, the Middle East will find itself on the verge of a large-scale conflict with unpredictable consequences for the entire international security system, plus the entire world might end up on the verge of a nuclear disaster,’ he warned.

The United States Department of Homeland Security has issued a nationwide terrorism bulletin, warning of possible cyber attacks and violence, including antisemitic hate crimes, following the bombing of Iran’s nuclear sites.

It noted that there are ‘no specific credible threats against the homeland,’ but noted the Iranian government has condemned the U.S. action.

‘A heightened threat environment across the United States’ is expected to last throughout the summer, the bulletin said.

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene hit out at President Donald Trump for his decision to bomb Iranian nuclear sites in a lengthy X post in which she argued that the president has not gone after the ‘actual terrorists.’

‘I don’t know anyone in America who has been the victim of a crime or killed by Iran, but I know many people who have been victims of crime committed by criminal illegal aliens or MURDERED by cartel and Chinese fentanyl/drugs,’ she wrote.

The B-2 bomber planes that struck the Fordow nuclear site in Iran on Saturday are typically equipped with toilets, microwaves and a cooler for snacks to make long-haul trips to the Middle East more comfortable for the pilots.

Each jet costs more than $2 billion and the United States Air Force currently has a fleet of 19 — after losing one in a crash in 2008.

Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, said US intervention and the Israeli strikes on his country are ‘a clear and flagrant breach of international law.’

He declared that the United States ‘has once more recklessly chosen to sacrifice its own security merely to safeguard Netanyahu,’ referring to the Israeli prime minister.

‘What conclusion can be drawn from this situation?’ Iravani asked his fellow diplomats.

The governor of the province of Iran announced on Sunday that 200 residents have been killed in Israeli strikes since June 13, including at least 39 women and 12 children.

More than 800 others had been hospitalized for injuries, Mohammad Sadegh Motamedian said, according to the Mehr news agency, which is affiliated with the Iranian government.

Infrastructure for the delivery of electricity, gas and water has also been hit, he claimed.

Iran’s UN ambassador, Amir Saeid Iravani, declared that the United States ‘decided to destroy diplomacy’ with its strikes on the country’s nuclear program.

He added that the Iranian military will decide the ‘timing, nature and scale of Iran’s proportionate response,’ at an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, according to the Associated Press.

‘We will take all measures necessary,’ Iravani warned.

Rafael Grossi, the chief of the United Nations’ nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said at an emergency security meeting on Sunday that the US strikes on Iran caused significant damage.

He said at the critical underground enrichment site in Fordow, ‘craters are visible’ at the facility, which ‘indicates the use of ground-penetrating munitions.’

‘This is consistent with statements from the United States,’ Grossi said.

In Isfahan, he said that ‘additional buildings were hit overnight, with the US confirming their use of cruise missiles. Affected buildings include some related to uranium conversion process.’

‘Entrances to tunnels used for the storage of enriched material appear to have been hit,’ he added.

In Natanz, the ‘fuel enrichment plant has been hit again with the US confirming that it used ground-penetrating munitions.’

He said while there was signfiicant damage, it is too early for the IAEA to fully assess the extent of the destruction.

Grossi concluded that the UN has not yet been able to verify Iran’s claims that there has been no increase in off-site radiation levels at the sites where the US struck.

Israel paid tribute to President Trump on Sunday by lighting its parliament building in the colors of the US flag.

The move came as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked President Trump for his help taking out key Iranian nuclear sites.

Netanyahu said in a news briefing on Sunday that Trump’s strikes overnight ‘inflicted major damage on Fordo’ – a crucial underground enrichment facility in Iran.

New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani slammed President Trump’s strikes on Iran as he said the military action brings a ‘dark new chapter’ for America.

Mamdani, a fervent critic of Israel, branded Trump’s strikes ‘unconstitutional’ and said the president contradicted his campaign promises.

‘Donald Trump ran for president promising to end wars, not start new ones,’ he said on X.

‘Today’s unconstitutional military action represents a dark, new chapter in his endless betrayals that now threaten to plunge the world deeper into chaos.

‘In a city as global as ours, the impacts of war are felt deeply here at home.’

It also ordered the departure of nonessential staff from the U.S. Embassy in Lebanon and is stepping up travel warnings around the Middle East amid concerns Iran will retaliate against U.S. interests in the region.

In a notice on Sunday, the department said it had ordered nonessential personnel and the families of staff at the U.S. Embassy in Beirut to leave Lebanon ‘due to the volatile and unpredictable security situation in the region.’
