Outspoken dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has reacted to the recent news of a reduction in passport prices in Ghana.

The announcement of the passport fee reduction was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, while answering questions in Parliament on March 13, 2025.

The minister revealed that the cost of the ordinary 32-page passport booklet would be reduced from GH¢500 to GH¢350.

Taking to his Facebook page, Shatta Wale expressed excitement at the development and praised President John Dramani Mahama and the current government.

He also claimed that Ghanaians had been taken advantage of by the previous government, thereby expressing gratitude to the President for the change.

“Mahama Ogboooooo!! This is what we call government and governance. Herrrrrhhh dem scam we bad for this country ooo. Thanks to this new government,” he wrote.
