The Minority has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government of deliberately stalling for time to cover up its incompetence in managing Ghana’s economy.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, March 3, 2025, the former Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam alleged that the government’s economic policies lack direction and have only deepened the country’s financial woes.

Dr. Amin Adam criticised the administration’s approach, arguing that it has failed to implement sustainable policies to stabilize the economy.

“It is clear that the NDC government is simply buying time, hoping to shift blame instead of accepting responsibility for the dire economic situation they have created. This is a calculated attempt to mask their incompetence,” he asserted.

He further highlighted how the administration’s economic mismanagement has exacerbated hardships for Ghanaians, citing rising inflation, high taxation, and a struggling private sector as major concerns.

Instead of taking bold steps to address the crisis, he claimed the government continues to organize forums like the National Economic Dialogue as a diversionary tactic.

The former Finance Minister reaffirmed the Minority’s commitment to holding the government accountable and ensuring that Ghanaians are not misled.

“We will not allow the NDC to deceive the people of Ghana with rhetoric and excuses. The economic hardship is real, and the government must take full responsibility for its failures,” he concluded.
