Sarkodie has once again sparked a heated controversy on social media after his recent “Back to gari soakings like we never left” comment.

In a post shared on X on January 14, 2025, the rapper shared a “meme” of Rev. Obofour angrily advising people not to listen to rumours together with his comment.

In the video, Rev. Obofour indicated that “A wise person doesn’t listen to rumours except for a fool.”

Although the post lacked context, some netizens have interpreted the post as a response from the rapper to his critics.

    Background:

Sarkodie previously expressed his dissatisfaction with the administration of former President John Dramani Mahama.

From 2013 to 2016, the rapper used his music to voice his concerns, with one notable example being his 2014 track “Inflation,” which conveyed his displeasure of Mahama’s leadership.

However, Sarkodie noticeably remained quiet during the presidency of President Akufo-Addo, despite calls from his fans to do so.
