Newly elected Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central Constituency Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A Plus has disclosed that there is a politician behind the assassination of Ahmed Suale.

It would be remembered that the politician sometime last year in a live video disclosed that he had information about the gruesome murder of Investigative journalist Ahmed Hussien Suale.

After his outburst, many people called on the IGP to invite him so he could share the information he had with them. The IGP invited A-Plus over and the meeting was held at the police headquarters.

It’s been months now, and ‘nothing’ has been heard concerning the information A Plus provided to the police and this has forced him to take to social media threatening to expose the people behind the murder.

According to A-Plus, a top politician who was a minister in the past Akufo-Addo government was the one who contracted the killers to eliminate the investigative journalist.

He continued that he disclosed his source who was very credible to the police CID when they invited him over but it looks like the case has been sidelined because no update has been given to the public on the matter.

A Plus in his post added that he was giving the Police CID 48 hours to release an update to the public or he would be forced to invoke his parliamentary mandate by requesting for the Ghana Police Service to appear before parliament to provide an update.

He also threatened to use his Facebook page to tell the public the whole story should the police and parliament fail to act on this.

He posted: “Last year, I was invited to the CID headquarters to provide information regarding the murder of Ahmed Suale. During the meeting, I identified a high-profile minister from the previous government who was allegedly involved in contracting assailants to carry out the crime. I also disclosed my source, a highly credible one, in the presence of the CID director. It is critical that the CID director updates the public on the progress of the investigation and indicates with justification whether additional time is required.
At this point, it appears the matter has been sidelined. If no update is provided within 48 hours, I will invoke my authority as a Member of Parliament to formally summon the Ghana Police Service to brief Parliament on this case. Should that fail, I will utilize my Facebook and other social media platforms to update the nation on what I know about the matter which shall include the name of the alleged perpetrator. Thank you.”
