Member of Parliament-elect for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A Plus has called on the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to expel Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo from the political party.

He said he has destroyed the political party and its tradition with poor leadership over the past eight years.

To A Plus, anyone who voted against Dr Mahamudu Bawumia did so because of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

“The NPP must sit together and sack Nana Addo from the party because he has destroyed the party. Everyone who voted against Dr Bawumia voted because of Akufo-Addo,” he said while speaking on United Showbiz.

A Plus indicated that he was shocked that the political party campaigned for the 2024 elections.

He mentioned that the haircut, betting tax, and other unpopular choices made by the government were indicative that the political party would lose because they had lost the youth and made the middle class poor.

A Plus urged the political party to come together during these trial times, sack Akufo-Addo, and rebuild into a formidable opposition to make Ghana’s democracy better.

After the December 2024 polls, there have been security concerns across the country. Catch Etsey Atisu’s interview with security analyst, Adib Saani, on Election Desk on GhanaWeb TV below:
