Ghanaian musician RCee has publicly reacted to an apparent failure on the part of his fellow musician Ypee to mention him while discussing artistes from their alma mater who are making an impact in the music industry.
The issue came up during an interview Ypee had with Headless YouTuber, during which he was asked about musicians associated with Opoku Ware School.
In speaking about younger artistes from the school who are making waves, Ypee mentioned names including Yaw Tog and OliveTheBoy.

RCee, however, was not mentioned as one of the old students doing well in the music industry.
That omission subsequently became a talking point on social media, with one X user questioning why YPee would leave out RCee despite their reported closeness and history as schoolmates.
The post shared by the user read in part: “Ypee betray RCee for this one. I hear say dem be mates for Owass and very close so why he no mention ein name for here? He write song for YPee sef before.”
RCee then reacted to the post with a message that initially suggested he was unhappy about being left out.
“One Day he will mention my name for Glory. Save this tweet,” RCee wrote.
He followed that with a stronger message directed at Ypee, saying: “Now take down every song I have written for you!! My publishers will contact you.”
In a quick reaction, Ypee responded to RCee and apologised, making it clear that he did not intentionally leave his former schoolmate out.
“You be my blood but Lord knows I genuinely forgot,” YPee said.

He continued: “When I saw the post I was like damn how did I forget? & I replied to your DM! Bro this sh*t happens. This was never intentional, I’m really sorry bro, return back my calls.”
The apology appeared to change the tone of the exchange.
Rather than continuing the confrontation, RCee later shared another post featuring YPee’s response and wrote:
“We are all learners of Gratitude. I Love and appreciate you 🤍.”
