USA Boxing is holding a Call for Candidates to fill the Local Boxing Committee (LBC) Director position and serve on the USA Boxing Board of Directors from 2027 through 2030.
USA Boxing will follow the USA Boxing bylaws for candidate qualifications and election procedures. However, preferably, the candidate has been involved in their LBC.

Applications must be submitted by October 1, 2026.
Candidate Qualifications:
Be a citizen of the United States and eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Not have been employed by or a consultant to USA Boxing within the last four (4) years.
Be registered as a member of USA Boxing for at least sixty (60) days prior to his or her election/selection and throughout his/her term.
Be a member in good standing of USA Boxing at the time of election or appointment.
Have passed USA Boxing’s background screening process; signed a conflict of interest form annually; completed SafeSport training annually; completed any other required trainings; and abides by the code of conduct.
Not have been employed by or a consultant to USA Boxing within the last four (4) years.

Not be ineligible under applicable International Federation Statutes, Bylaws, Codes of Ethics, Disciplinary Code and Rules;
Not have received from USA Boxing a disciplinary action or suspension of one (1) year or more within the last ten (10) years; and Possess the highest personal and professional integrity; have demonstrated exceptional ability and judgment; be effective, in conjunction with the other members of the Board, in collectively serving the long-term interests of USA Boxing; and shall possess the highest personal values and judgment, understanding of athletic competition and the Olympic ideals, qualifications of leadership in business and in ethics, and have diverse experience in the key business, financial, or other challenges that face USA Boxing.
It is the desire of USA Boxing to have Directors who demonstrate a high level of experience, capability, success, and leadership in Board oversight responsibilities in one (1) or more of the following areas: business, finance, marketing, fundraising, ethics, audit, management, communications, and sports performance.
LBC Director Elections Procedures:
An individual who meets the above qualifications and as outlined in section 6.4 of the USA Boxing bylaws and submits an application by the deadline is eligible to be considered for the position.
The Nominating and Governance Committee shall review the applications and will put forward five (5) nominees to stand for election.
The LBC Director shall then be elected by a vote of the LBC Presidents utilizing a third-party voting company and a majority vote system used. (A candidate must receive a majority of the votes cast.)
In the case where more than two candidates and no single candidate receives a majority of eligible votes cast, the candidate with the lowest number of votes shall be dropped and another ballot taken. This procedure will be followed until the number of candidates is reduced to two. Balloting will continue until one candidate receives a majority of the eligible votes cast.
If there is only one qualified candidate, then the position will be filled by acclamation.
