The Morning Poll: What’s behind the UK’s Eurovision failure?

    By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

    Published: 18:30 EDT, 17 May 2026 | Updated: 18:30 EDT, 17 May 2026

The UK came last in Eurovision on Saturday with its entry, electronics performer Look Mum No Computer – real name Sam Battle – and his song Eins, Zwei, Drei.

He came a whopping 515 points behind winner, Dara, from Bulgaria, gaining just one point from the public vote and ‘nul points’ from the televote. There was a sympathetic outpouring for him on social media, as fans blasted the British delegation and BBC for leaving him to sit alone during the jury show in Vienna.

But what is the reason for the UK’s failure in the singing contest? Have your say in the Morning Mail poll.

Vote now and you’ll find the final results in tomorrow’s Morning Mail newsletter.
