Ghana’s sports community has received a major boost following a nationwide show of support for the Ghana national football team, with stakeholders across corporate, creative and public sectors rallying behind the team’s World Cup ambitions.

In a statement issued after the fundraising initiative, the minster for Sports and recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, highlighted the overwhelming response as a sign of renewed confidence in the country’s sports administration. The effort forms part of a broader agenda to rebuild trust within the sports ecosystem through transparency, accountability and fiscal discipline.

The initiative aligns with the vision of President John Dramani Mahama, whose leadership has been credited with driving reforms aimed at strengthening collaboration between government and Corporate Ghana. Authorities also acknowledged the role of the Deputy Minister for Finance, who chaired the fundraising committee.

Organizers expressed gratitude to corporate partners and individuals who contributed to the campaign, assuring the public that all funds raised will be managed with the highest level of integrity.

Fans have been encouraged to continue supporting the initiative through designated platforms as Ghana pushes toward qualification for the FIFA World Cup.

Officials believe the unified backing signals a new chapter for Ghana football.
