The family of late Ghanaian singer Maame Adwoa Tiwaa has officially announced the date and arrangements for her final funeral rites following her tragic passing.
The Ghanaian music industry and fans across the country were thrown into mourning on Sunday, December 7, 2025, after news broke that the singer had died.
The heartbreaking announcement was made by Nana Poku Ashis, the manager of the music group associated with the singer, in an emotional social media post that triggered widespread grief online.
According to an official obituary poster shared by the family, the late singer will be laid to rest on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Domeabra Ahafoman in the Ashanti Region.
Before the burial, the body will be laid in state at Presby Park Bantama, located opposite Sefah Boakye Hospital. A burial mass is scheduled to take place at 9:00 a.m.
Following the burial, the final funeral rites will be held later that afternoon at Presby Park Bantama from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The family has also scheduled a Thanksgiving service for Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Sokoban Ampayoo New Jerusalem Church. The service will run from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., after which funeral activities will continue in Bantama.
Maame Adwoa Tiwaa’s passing left a deep void in Ghana’s music space, with fans, colleagues and industry players expressing shock and sadness at the time of her death.
As preparations begin for her final farewell, loved ones and admirers are expected to gather in large numbers to pay their last respects to the late singer whose life and music touched many.
