Amid the ongoing controversies surrounding the late Daddy Lumba’s post-burial ceremony, fresh disputes have emerged.

On February 25, 2026, the family of the late highlife musician summoned Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu before the Chiefs of Parkoso, outlining their demands to the family head.

In a video sighted by GhanaWeb, a family member, speaking on behalf of the entire Ekuona family of Parkoso, alleged that Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu has refused to render accountability after the funeral ceremony.

He also demanded that Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu present a successor to the late Daddy Lumba, noting that several months have passed since the musician’s death.

As their third demand, the family called on Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu to disclose the burial site of the late musician.

According to them, the family head did not bury Daddy Lumba in Parkoso, and if he fails to disclose the burial site, they will have no choice but to remove him from his position as family head.

“Today, the women wanted to remove Kofi Owusu as Abusuapanyin, but because the chiefs pleaded with us to give him two weeks, we have agreed to grant him a two-week ultimatum to appear.

“The charges against him are that he must come and show us who the late Daddy Lumba’s successor is. Secondly, we want him to provide an account of the funeral he organised, and finally, we want him to show us where he buried the late musician,” he said.
