The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, narrowly escaped harm after being involved in a road accident in the early hours of Thursday in the Oti Region.

According to sources, the incident occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m. while the revered traditional ruler was returning to Accra from Tamale. He had earlier undertaken a private visit to the Yaa Naa in the Northern Region as part of efforts to deepen ties among traditional leaders across the country.

The visit was said to be one of several engagements aimed at fostering unity, promoting collaboration, and reinforcing longstanding bonds of mutual respect between traditional authorities.

Although details surrounding the circumstances of the crash remain unclear, palace insiders have confirmed that the Ga Mantse emerged from the accident unhurt and is currently in stable condition. He is reportedly in good spirits following the ordeal.

However, the driver of the vehicle was not as fortunate. Sources close to the palace disclosed that the driver sustained critical injuries and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is receiving urgent medical care.

Further updates are expected as authorities continue to gather information about the cause of the accident.
