Fast-rising Ghanaian musician Jubed has opened up about the valuable advice he received from Sarkodie, crediting the rap icon for helping him build confidence in his craft and block out negative comments.

Speaking in an interview on MX24 TV on February 5, 2026, Jubed explained that Sarkodie encouraged him to trust his instincts about his music and promote his work unapologetically.

According to him, he often feels proud of his songs while recording in the studio, but begins to doubt himself when negative reactions emerge after release.

“Sarkodie said to me that whenever I’m recording, I know it’s a masterpiece, and there are no people in the booth with me. My team and I are okay with it, so why is it that when I release it, and they bring negative comments, I feel like it’s rubbish?” he recounted.

He mentioned that the advice changed his perspective, teaching him to maintain the same confidence he has in the studio even after the song is released.

“The same way I thought about it when I was in the studio, and I loved the music, I should use that same energy to promote it. That’s why you see me promoting my songs, and I know it’s sometimes disturbing to Ghanaians, but I had to do it because it’s my happiness,” he stated.

Jubed added that he now promotes his songs aggressively because it brings him joy, regardless of public criticism.

“When I see my posts, I’m happy because I love the music so I’m putting it out there. If I have to post five videos to make me happy or if I’m happy about my song, I will do it.

“If someone comes in the comment section to say I’m doing too much, I just say I love what I’m doing, so I’m going to keep doing it,” he said.

The musician also hinted at a possible collaboration with Sarkodie, noting that fans should expect something from them soon.

“That’s what Sarkodie gave me and I felt it was good and since then I’ve been doing my best. Some people are also saying Sarkodie and I should do something together, but not to worry. It will surely happen because he and I are inevitable,” he added.
