It has been learned that Mexican former two-time WBC super lightweight world champion Rafael “Bazooka” Limón is hospitalized at the Central Military Hospital in Mexico City following a recent visit by WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman.
The Central Military Hospital is a highly specialized medical institution with extensive experience, providing services not only to military personnel and their dependents, but also to individuals outside this medical unit.
As part of the WBC’s commitment to supporting boxing legends in their retirement, they have maintained close communication with Limón, who frequently participates in WBC-sponsored events.
The speedy recovery is hoped for of the brave Mexican warrior who was in professional boxing for 22 years and left a legacy with great fights against Bobby Chacon, Lionel Rose, Alexis Arguello, Cornelius Boza Edwards, Idelfonso Bethelmy, Rolando Navarrete and Hector Camacho among others, in addition to the 1982 fight against Bobby Chacon for the WBC super featherweight world title.
