Smade (L) said he is willing to support Black Sherif’s team in organising the concert
Entertainment venue O2 Arena in London, often discussed in relation to which Ghanaian artiste could fill its 20,000-capacity, has been tipped for Black Sherif by Afronation founder King Smade.
In an interview with Guide Radio, Smade said both the artiste and event promoters must believe in their ability to sell out the venue and be willing to take the necessary risk.

“I think Black Sherif can sell out the O2 Arena. You just have to believe. The belief starts from within. The belief starts from the artiste, the promoter. Even if the people are not ready, you need to kick it off for them,” he said.
The event curator added that many Ghanaian promoters are often too scared to take risks and recalled some of the personal risks he has taken, including the money he lost organising certain shows.
“I think a lot of Ghanaian promoters are scared of taking the risk. You don’t want to know how much I sold properties to invest in shows, to build shows. Sometimes I lose so much money, but the show looks good, and I just smile, shine my teeth, and move on. I don’t stop. Not everybody is willing to lose money and move on. But you think about the brand equity,” he stated.
Smade also noted that he is willing to support Black Sherif’s team in any way possible, whether through knowledge, skills, or data to organise the O2 event.
“I’m willing to help, support, and give access to everything that I have, Black Sherif team. I’m saying it like this: they should reach out. Black Sherif team should reach out. I’m here. I’m here “for it. You see me at every show supporting it anyway, but what about giving full access to what I have? I’m talking about data, experience, knowledge, set skills, and all of that,” he added.
