Ghanaian-American singer Moliy has broken new ground for Ghanaian music, becoming the first Ghanaian artiste to have her track featured in the global video game phenomenon, Fortnite.

The song in question, ‘Shake It to the Max’, a viral hit already celebrated worldwide, now joins Fortnite’s roster, enabling players to enjoy and dance to the tune during gameplay.

Known for her distinctive afro-fusion sound and airy vocals, Moliy has already captured global attention with her hit song.

    Ghana’s Moliy lands international milestone

The track topped international charts, went viral on TikTok, and earned her features on major playlists as well as brand deals and a performance on BET.

Since its inception in 2017, the popular video game has featured many artistes and personalities, including Eminem, Snoop Dog, Travis Scott and Ice Spice.

This milestone represents a significant moment not just for Moliy’s career but for Ghanaian music as a whole.

In addition, Moliy’s “Shake It To The Max” (Remix)” has officially been cited as the first Ghanaian song in history to rank #1 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Year-End chart.
