Reverend Azigiza, Lead Pastor of Citizen Fellowship Church and renowned multimedia consultant, has emphasised that influence not chance is what shapes individuals and society, stressing that “90% of motivations are influences.”

He made the remark during the launch of his new book, The Christian Influencer, held at Citizen Fellowship Church on Friday, December 5, 2025.

According to him, many people underestimate how deeply their choices from clothing styles to brand preferences and even personal behaviour are shaped by influences picked from their homes, society and media.

“We watch adverts and don’t even realise it’s influence. Why do you like a particular soft drink? Why do you dress the way you do? Somebody influenced you,” he noted.

“Your biggest influence is from home. If your mother screams, you’ll scream. If your father beats your mother, you beat your mother. These are influences we carry.”

Reverend Azigiza explained that his motivation for writing the book was the rising wave of negative influences dominating society, particularly among the youth.

“There are influencers doing awesome, but others too are influencing negatively,” he said.

He emphasised that influence is not man-made but God-given, urging Christians to use it purposefully.

“Influence was given to man by God. It is our birthright. But most people don’t know what they carry, so they copy wrongly,” he said.

“If you know you’re a Christian influencer, you behave well, you behave right.”

The book explores spiritual, moral and social dimensions of influence, guiding readers to become intentional ambassadors of Christ in their homes, workplaces, schools and digital spaces.

Reverend Azigiza revealed plans for a nationwide school and university tour, where students will be taught directly from the book.
