California fight fans, get ready! 559 Fights is bringing the heat once again with 559 Fights 118, going down Sunday, October 19 at Eagle Mountain Casino. This Pro-Am banger is 21+ only and will be available live on YouTube and on-demand on UFC Fight Pass.
Coming off a massive year, 559 Fights continues to level up, securing a multi-fight deal with Eagle Mountain Casino and officially joining the UFC Fight Pass lineup.
“It’s been a big year for us, for the Valley, and for all the fighters and coaches who’ve been grinding to build this scene,” said 559 Fights CEO Jeremy Luchau. “These new deals show we’re serious about growing talent both inside and outside the cage.”
559 Fights 115 set the bar high with Nick Maximov delivering a brutal KO over Handesson Ferreira, and the event was co-hosted by UFC stars Brandon Moreno and Alexa Grasso. Now, 559 Fights 118 is taking it up a notch with rising UFC stars Raul Rosas Jr. and Youssef Zalal on hosting duties.
“We’re bringing in UFC fighters to not only hype the crowd but to inspire and guide the next generation of fighters,” said Luchau. “They’re showing what it means to carry yourself like a pro at the highest level.”
In the main event, it’s a high-stakes Pro Lightweight Championship rematch between Christian Avalos (7-1, Parlier, CA) and Samuel Alvarez (11-7, Manteca, CA). These two first clashed under the A1 Combat banner, and now the rivalry gets reignited under the 559 Fights spotlight.
“Christian, his brother Jose, coach Mike Moreno — they’ve been a huge part of what 559 is all about,” said Luchau. “This is the kind of fight fans live for — a war between two guys with real roots in California MMA.”
The co-main event features, Rosas’ brother Jessie, a standout bantamweight with a 6-1 record.
And in the feature fight, it’s a lightweight showdown between Porterville’s own Shane Christie (2-0) and Trent Ebarb (3-0, Sacramento, CA). Christie is another amateur 559 Fights alum, having held the 559 Fights Welterweight title.
