    A fuel tanker transporting 54,000 litres of petrol has been involved in an accident at Dominasi Toboasi on the Mankessim–Assin Fosu road in the Central Region.

    The incident was reported on Thursday, January 15, 2026, on the official X page of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).

    “A fuel tanker (AS 5140-24) carrying 54,000 litres of petrol has been involved in an accident at Dominasi Toboasi on the Mankessim–Fosu Road,” the service stated.

    According to the post, firefighters from the Mankessim Fire Station were immediately dispatched to the scene.

    “Firefighters from Mankessim Fire Station are on the scene managing the situation,” the GNFS added.

    Authorities have not reported any casualties so far.
