    The government has announced plans to deploy 5,000 graduates in the agriculture and veterinary fields to support its flagship Feed Ghana Programmes across the country.

    The Vice President Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang made this known at the 2025 Asogli Yam Festival held in the Volta Region on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

    “This year under the Ministry of Agriculture, the Feed Ghana Programme is being rolled out with tangible support including significant allocations that have been made to agriculture in 2025. Supporting programmes like the Vegetable Development Project and the famous ‘Nkok) Nkititi’ poultry.

    ‘It is a joy to be back; I look forward to us building a united and prosperous nation’ – Veep

    “This also includes 5000 graduates in agriculture and veterinary science who will be deployed across the country including the Volta region to work side by side with farmers providing modern extension services, sharing new techniques and helping bridge research and practice,” she stated.

    The imitative seeks to accelerate the transformation of Ghana’s agricultural sector, ensure food security, create sustainable employment, and enhance economic growth by reducing import dependency while boosting domestic production and export.
