May 1, is dedicated to the celebration of Workers, a day to appreciate the outstanding commitment of workers throughout the year.

While Ghana celebrates the workforce across sectors, 360 Group Ltd will spotlight a powerful yet often under-celebrated group, the market women of Ghana.

The Market Women Health Awareness & Fun Day (Workers’ Day Edition), dubbed ‘Odwadini Mpuntuo’ is a full-day health-centered celebration designed specifically for traders in all 67 markets in the Greater Accra region which forms one of the busiest trading hubs in the country.

Market women form the economic heartbeat of Ghana’s informal sector contributing immensely to the country’s economy.

From food distribution to textiles, retail, micro-enterprise, their contribution to household stability and national GDP is enormous.

However, due to the demanding nature of their work, many neglect their own health and well-being.

Against this backdrop, the Odwadini Mpuntuo by Group 360 will combine health awareness, appreciation, celebration, and community engagement in one of the impactful and unforgettable Workers’ Day experience.

As part of the activities for the day, there would be medical screening, aerobics, fun games, interactive activities, appreciation, recognition ceremony, health and financial talk among others.

The maiden ceremony is expected to take place at the Makola Market on Friday, May 1, 2026.

They have charged on all and sundry to be on board to support such an initiative.
