In a chilling revelation, renowned Ghanaian gospel musician Celestine Donkor has shared the details of a harrowing spiritual attack she and her family faced, not involving guns or knives, but black magic.

Speaking exclusively with GhanaWeb’s Elsie Lamar, Celestine Donkor recounted the unsettling incident, narrating that she and her husband, who own a photo and rehearsal studio, received a shocking phone call informing them of the strange and ominous act.

Sharing vivid details, the gospel minister said someone dropped 21 white eggs and a calabash filled with grains (beans, rice, millet, maize, and groundnuts) at the studio.

She detailed that the calabash had a white cloth lining and a piece of paper with their family names written on it.

“My husband and I own a photo and rehearsal studio. We had a call from the studio attendant one morning in February last year, only to be told that someone has come to put 21 white eggs, a calabash filled with grains (beans, rice, millet, maize, groundnuts). The calabash had a white cloth lining and a piece of paper with our names written on it,” she stated.

Celestine Donkor added that the strange items left her and her husband deeply shocked, especially because of the timing and the specific day it happened.

She explained that the incident occurred early on a Friday morning, a day that holds special significance for her husband, as he was born on a Friday.

“Guess what it was dropped in the early hours of a Friday, knowing that my husband is a Friday born,” she added.

Narrating further, she said the gravity of the situation prompted her and her husband to immediately seek divine intervention.

Celestine Donkor explained that, in the face of what seemed like an attack from dark forces, they turned to prayer, relying on the powerful scriptures Isaiah 54:17 and Isaiah 7:7.

She added that this intense season of prayer inspired the creation of her hit song “I Carry Fire.”

“We entered prayer with our prayer partners. We used Isaiah 54:17 and Isaiah 7:7 out of which I got the song ‘I carry fire,” she added.

Celestine Donkor said eventually, multiple sources revealed that the black magic was allegedly linked to someone within the gospel industry.

“We were told from multiple sources that it was coming from someone in our industry,” she added.

Her disclosure comes amid increasing discussions about the use of dark spiritual forces in the gospel music fraternity.
