Ghana coach Otto Addo has cautioned against underestimating Comoros ahead of Ghanaβs decisive World Cup qualifier, describing the island nation as a well-organised and dangerous side.
The Black Stars will host Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, with kick-off slated for 19:00 GMT.
Ghana need just a point to seal their qualification for the Mundial next year.
Addressing the media ahead of the game, Addo cautioned his side, saying, βComoros are really, really good. Itβs not like they are here by luck.
βTheyβve been doing good work over the years, and we in Ghana have felt it before. Especially up front, they are very strong. Itβs going to be a difficult match.β
The Ghana boss praised the Comoros coachβs tactical flexibility and the teamβs evolution.
βThey have a really good coach who understands the game and plays with different systems. They are difficult to beat,β he noted.
Despite acknowledging Comorosβ threat, Addo expressed confidence in his sideβs preparation.
βIf we have the right mentality like against Mali, we will beat them,β he said. βWeβve analysed their strengths and weaknesses, and we know what we want to do.β
Ghana will be aiming to make their fifth World Cup appearance, having previously featured in Germany (2006), South Africa (2010), Brazil (2014), and Qatar (2022).
