The Director of the University of Ghana Sports and Wellness Directorate, Dr Austin W. Luguterah has assured stakeholders and football fans that the 2026 edition of the Corporate Football League will be more competitive and exciting.
Speaking after a preparatory meeting with representatives of teams gearing up for the 2026 season, he expressed satisfaction with the 2025 season, which climaxed with the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) emerging as champions, and indicated that the 2026 season will be even more competitive.

He revealed that “the 2025 season recorded an impressive 142 goals across both groups, highlighting the attacking quality and high level of competition among participating companies.”
Dr. Luguterah further disclosed that the number of corporate institutions interested in joining the league has increased, indicating growing confidence in the competition and its organization.
The 2026 season will feature 20 teams competing for the ultimate trophy.
He also commended all participating teams, sponsors, and partners for contributing to the success of the league and reaffirmed the University of Ghana’s commitment to using sports as a tool for wellness, teamwork, and corporate networking.
The competition, supported by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has become a stable tournament for corporate bodies to showcase their potential, gain opportunities, and promote football in the country.
