The Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi witnessed an intense yet goalless encounter as FC Samartex hosted Hearts of Oak in a Ghana Premier League matchday 17 clash.

Although devoid of goals, the game was packed with drama and determination from both sides.

Samartex, the reigning champions, began the match with authority, dictating the tempo and maintaining possession.

However, their dominance in the early stages did not translate into any clear-cut chances, as the Hearts defence held firm.

The visitors, calm under pressure, sought to gain control and gradually found their footing in the game.

Both goalkeepers, Kofi Baah and Benjamin Asare, were put to the test in the first half, making crucial saves to keep the scoreline intact.

The second half saw Samartex upping the ante, deploying more men forward in search of a breakthrough.

Hearts, however, nearly took the lead in the 60th minute through young star Hamza Issah, whose powerful strike was brilliantly saved by Baah.

As the clock ticked down, both sides had golden opportunities to clinch a winner.

Alhassan Mankuyeli’s one-on-one effort was thwarted by Asare, while Asamoah Boateng Afriyie’s late header was also denied by Baah.

The draw leaves Samartex focused on their next home clash against Dreams FC, while Hearts prepare for a revenge match against Basake Holy Stars.
