Karela FC is eager to secure a win after going three matches without a victory Karela FC is eager to secure a win after going three matches without a victory

Karela United FC are poised to turn their fortunes around as they face a revitalised Hearts of Oak team in Ghana Premier League matchday 11.

The ‘Pride and Passion’ squad is eager to secure a win after going three matches without a victory.

They will host the Phobians at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale on Sunday, aiming to end their winless streak.

Head coach Jimmy Corbblah has urged his players to deliver a second home win of the season.

Karela currently sit just one point above the relegation zone after ten games, with a record of two wins, three draws, and five losses.

Hearts, on the other hand, have been on an upward trajectory, travelling over 600 kilometres from Accra to Tamale with newfound confidence.

The Phobians have suffered only one defeat in their last eight matches and are riding the momentum of back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

Their recent triumphs include an away victory against Medeama SC and a narrow home win over newly-promoted Vision FC.

Coach Aboubakar Ouattara’s team is aiming for a third consecutive league win, a feat they haven’t achieved since March.

The Phobians have also been impressive on the road, remaining unbeaten in their last four away games with two wins and two draws.

This strong away form boosts their confidence as they prepare for Sunday’s fixture.

As Karela strive to distance themselves from the relegation zone, Hearts look to extend their winning streak and solidify their position in the league.
